Ara has been practicing within the architectural discourse since graduating from the University of Western Australia with a Masters of Architecture in 2014. During this time she has worked on all facets of architecture, which has provided the foundation to confidently navigate from project procurement through to construction administration.

Ara excels in management and is experienced in Space Planning, Design and Construction Contracts, Project Management, Planning and Building Regulations, BCA and R Codes.

With a passion for excellence in architecture; and high quality in the the built form and urban fabric; her knowledge provides expertise to the design and execution of all projects.

Alessandra is a passionate and capable designer with 15 years experience working across residential, hospitality, wellness and retail sectors. Having grown up around the family construction business, she was immersed in the field from a young age which has led to a strong understanding and appreciation for all facets of the industry.

Passionate about art, design and with a finely tuned aesthetic sensibility, Alessandra is involved in all project stages and excels in developing close working relationships with clients, suppliers and trades in order to always achieve the best possible outcome for every project.

Jessie graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Masters of Architecture with Honours in 2014.
Her final thesis project investigated the necessity of infill within unused areas and spaces within the Perth CBD - an issue relating to Perth urban design that she continues to be very passionate about. Within the State of Kin studio, she is involved in all facets of project work from concept design to completion.

Jessie’s multifaceted skill set allows her to dexterously contribute valuable knowledge and proficiencies in all realms of a project.

Amy has been practicing as an Interior Designer since 2006, with a background in Industrial Design that allows a unique understanding of elements within a space and the ability to create unique, custom cabinetry and furniture within projects that provide distinction and authenticity.

Possessing a curiosity surrounding the human experience and with a keen eye for detail, she is heavily involved in the creation of an overall interior aesthetic and ambience of a space.

Jordan is currently undertaking his Masters in Architecture at the University of Western Australia. Previously Jordan has worked across southeast Asia on various different projects including trips to Malaysia and Borneo to study architecture typologies, a topic he is very passionate about.
Since has been involved with State of Kin assisting the architecture team, he is incredibly passionate about design and provides the studio with a detail orientated eye to architecture and design.

Elise completed her Interior Architecture degree at Curtin University in 2019.
She has worked in the realm of interiors during and since her studies across various sectors and roles from interior styling for photoshoots through to documentation.
Elise assists the State of Kin interiors team with great energy and enthusiasm, she is really interested in materiality, furniture design, and the use of graphic design in the interior realm.

Sarah has been practicing for 12 years and is a Member in Practice (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) and Registered BAS Agent. She has been with State of Kin since our conception and assists both the design and build teams with all manner of administrative and management undertakings. Sarah is very caring and passionate about her family; this considerate, attentive, detail-oriented nature is integral to the function and wellbeing of the State of Kin office.

Steve is a Registered Building Practitioner (BRB 7619) in Western Australia. He has 40 years of building experience including 33 years operating in his role as a builder, building supervisor, project manager, owner, and director of several businesses within the industry. Steve holds an associate diploma in quantity surveying, construction law, contracts administration, construction estimating & scheduling, design, drafting, and construction detailing and has extensive knowledge of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
Stefano provides valuable technical and supervisory support as the company's registered builder; his expertise and inimitable knowledge of building provides an indispensable direction and leadership to the team.

Gino is a trade-based builder who has worked with Steve since 1973 to create, manage, and direct several iterations of build-based businesses, involved in several group-developments, some industrial and many residential projects. With over 54 years of site organisational skills, construction experience and general knowledge of the Perth building industry, Gino offers unparalleled experience across the construction of all projects anda leadership that is vital.

Donny studied and completed a Diploma of Construction, is a Registered Builder (BC102763), and has been a construction manager and supervisor for over 20 years.
He has managed multiple site supervisors and is proficient in the use of many valuable building management and tracking tools and software platforms. Donny is a strong manager across a variety of trades, and is invaluable in the completion of built projects. With a strong eye for detail and understanding of the nuanced design concepts being created, he executes the build process with unparalleled finesse.

Massimo has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in both Architectural Science and Construction Management. He has 8 years of experience in the realms of commercial and residential construction, and is skilled in the fields of health+safety and project quantifying.
He is experienced in several digital drawing/drafting programs , as well as multiple project management, estimating, engineering and tracking platforms.
Massimo’s experience and knowledge of the construction industry is an asset across all projects as he seamlessly liaises between the design and build teams throughout the duration of a project.
